4. Estimates, Pricing, and Authorization

• Diagnostic work may be necessary before an accurate repair recommendation or final price can be provided.

• We will seek customer authorization before performing material work beyond an approved scope whenever reasonably possible.
• Written estimates, invoices, and service agreements may contain project-specific terms that control if they differ from these general Terms & Conditions.
• Promotional offers cannot be combined unless specifically stated and may include restrictions, expiration dates, or service-specific requirements.

Emergency service availability does not guarantee immediate arrival. Actual response times depend on technician availability, location, weather, road conditions, job complexity, and safety conditions.

5. Payments

Payment is due as stated on the invoice, service agreement, or approved estimate. Carmody Wood Plumbing may require a deposit before ordering special materials, scheduling major repairs, beginning remodeling work, or undertaking larger commercial projects.

If payment is not made when due, we may suspend non-emergency work, delay future scheduling, seek collection of overdue balances, and pursue other remedies permitted by law. Customers may also be responsible for reasonable costs associated with collection, where permitted by applicable law.

Please contact us promptly if you believe an invoice contains an error. Questions should be raised before the payment due date whenever possible.

6. Cancellations and Access

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please contact us as early as possible. Same-day cancellations, missed appointments, locked properties, or situations where a technician cannot safely access the work area may result in a service, trip, diagnostic, or cancellation charge where disclosed or permitted.

The property owner or an authorized adult representative must be available to approve work, grant access, and make decisions about the service. By authorizing service, you represent that you have authority to permit Carmody Wood Plumbing to perform the requested work at the property.

7. Plumbing Work and Site Conditions

Plumbing systems can contain concealed, aging, damaged, non-code-compliant, or previously repaired components. While our technicians use reasonable care and professional methods, accessing plumbing components may require opening walls, ceilings, floors, cabinets, fixtures, landscaping, concrete, or other building materials.

Carmody Wood Plumbing is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, improper prior installations, inaccessible components, or damage that is unavoidable when reasonably performing authorized diagnostic or repair work. This may include damage associated with locating leaks, clearing blocked lines, accessing pipes, or removing deteriorated fixtures.

8. Permits, Codes, and Inspections

Code requirements may affect project cost, materials, design, or timelines. If a code-related issue is discovered after work begins, we may recommend additional work or revisions to bring the affected portion of the project into compliance.

9. Emergency and Safety Issues

If you smell gas, suspect a gas leak, experience a major water release, encounter sewage backup, or believe there is an immediate safety risk, take appropriate emergency precautions. Leave the area when necessary, contact the applicable utility provider or emergency services, and avoid operating electrical switches or ignition sources near a suspected gas leak.
